CLIPPER RACE 2011-12 STOPOVER AT PANAMA
Associated Yacht Services is proud to have been the chosen agent for the Clipper Race for many years. On the Clipper Race 2011-12 Associated Yacht Services attended all ten boats that arrived at Flamenco Marina on the Pacific side of the Canal. They assisted in the transit Northbound to Shelter Bay Marina located on the Atlantic side where the boats stayed until all competitors had arrived and some minor repairs were conducted to one of the boats.
They sailed early on the 14th May on the eleventh stage of the race, bound for New York.

THE AMERICA'S CUP WORLD SERIES EVENTS COMES TO ITALY
This past April and May the America’s Cup World Series races showcased the fastest boats and the best sailors in the first two AC World Series races of 2012 in Italy.
The format, the boats and the event have all undergone radical changes since Oracle’s win brought the Cup back to the USA. Superfast AC45 catamarans are now racing closer to
the shore than ever and put on a fantastic show both in the Bay of Naples and in the Venetian lagoon. BWA Yachting, selected in January 2012 as an operational partner of the
America’s Cup Superyacht program is tasked with promoting and selling bespoke packages to the Superyacht community on behalf of the America’s Cup.
“Our aim is to unite the pinnacle of competitive sailing with the height of yachting luxury, and provide owners and charterers with an unprecedented America’s Cup participant experience.” said Iain Murray, C.E.O. - America’s Cup Race Management.
The packages include priority berthing and flagged spectator positions around the race course,
access to the America’s Cup VIP hospitality venue, VIP functions, seminars and special events coupled with BWA’s 24 onshore support and concierge services. Edward Pegan, Sales Manager of BWA Yachting commented today, “We’ve seen an incredible show already in Naples and this week in Venice. We have approximately 9-10 Superyachts here
berthed in the Venetian lagoon this week enjoying the races and special events planned specifically for them.” Racing continues in 2012 with the next stop in Rhode Island from June
26-July 1 then on to San Francisco (August 21-26, 2012 & October 4-7, 2012).Contact BWA Yachting for 2013 dates and planned Superyacht events

PIMEX INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW
Comment from Gordon Fernandes “It was great to see that all the berths for the water displays were full; the industry is still relatively small in Phuket but more and more owners are basing yachts in the region and the permanently based yachts are getting bigger and bigger.” Asia Pacific Superyachts
